If it's meant to be, it will be

They have always told me

If it's been years and you still miss him

Long for him

Need him

Life will bring you to him

Or bring you who's better than him

If it's meant to be, it will be

Excuse me, for I must disagree

Life didn't bring him to me

Nor anyone better than him will there ever be

Because if it's meant to be, you'll have to make it be

Life Won't bring anyone to your feet

You have to find him

Walk to him

To let it be, so it can be

If it's meant to be, no, it doesn't have to be

And that is all that life has taught me
